In the span of two weeks during the Peripatetic Residency, I led two durational moving art happenings in collaboration with curator and bike explorer, Everett Ó CillÍn. Each happening had a specific routes for self-supported bicycle trips open to the community, each trip lasting several days. The routes visited various ghost towns, indigenous sites, and heritage sites on Selish, Kooteni, and Qlispi territories (aka Missoula and Bitterroot Valleys) to discuss concepts around land use and ownership.

How does language, culture, and the body intersect within the landscape? How does art act outside the gallery?
The sculptures shifted every day for the 21 day installation. Viewers were invited to touch and move the installation. An approach to dismiss the importance of the gallery and the artist's control. Like weather patterns or unforeseen events while outside. Photo Credit: Kellen Stanley
